Hungry for Music Notes
November 2021
Hungry for Music could not fulfill its mission of providing quality music instruments for underserved children without the support of our employees, volunteers, and financial backers.

From the beginning of the donation process until the instrument ends up in the hands of a young eager-to-learn musician, it takes a devoted team of folks to make the magic happen.

During this Thanksgiving holiday, I want to express my extreme gratitude for the folks that help keep the music instruments flowing to those in need.

Hungry for Music has known Leslie Cooper for over 10 years.  HFM Director Jeff Campbell likes to call her "the band mom of New Orleans."

We have donated dozens of instruments to Leslie and her Pass It On NOLA program over the years.  She does an amazing job finding kids who can use the support.  Below are the latest HFM donations that Leslie has passed on.

Hungry for Music Mentioned in Forbes Article

Mark Sparrow wrote an article on the Audio Technica golden microphone give-away and mentioned Hungry for Music.

"To celebrate one million sales of the classic AT2020 condenser microphone, Audio-Technica is donating ¥1m to Hungry for Music, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for children to learn a musical instrument. Since 1994, Hungry for Music has provided thousands of instruments to underprivileged children across 32 countries. These are children who might otherwise be unable to participate in music lessons."
