Hungry for Music in the News!

NPR’s “Morning Edition” featured Hungry for Music and several young bluegrass musicians this week in an uplifting story we all need right now.

Have a listen...

Hungry for Music would like to thank Chad Campbell at NPR for capturing a day in the life of HFM and telling the story about the important work we have continued to do throughout the pandemic. We’d also like to thank Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) for being an amazing partner and showcasing their talented students for this piece.

Art Installation Dedication and Outdoor Musical Performances November 7th, 3-6 pm
Hungry for Music invites you to an outdoor, art installation dedication event, with live musical performances by New River JAM Band, bluegrass performers, featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, Jim Lloyd, and others (TBA).  We’d like to thank artist Bud Wilkinson for creating a unique, public, outdoor sculpture that elevates (quite literally) the work Hungry for Music does everyday.

Come join us, enjoy some bluegrass, and be inspired (while being socially distant)!
