Faculty In-Service Day on 4 May 2014

In preparation for the re-accreditation of the school, IKNS faculty members will have their second and last in-service day this year on Sunday, 4 May 2014.

Accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which the services and operations of the school and its programs are evaluated by an external agency with the purpose of determining if international educational standards are met by the school or not. If the standards are met, accredited status is granted by the agency.

IKNS was first accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) in1994 for a period of ten years. The second accreditation was gained in 2004, and in 2009, IKNS renewed its accredited status for another five years. It is now time for another cycle of accreditation.

During the in-service day, each faculty members will be involved in a committee reflecting on one aspect of the school as per the requirements of MSA. By the end of the day, each committee will produce a report, which will be forwarded to MSA once all the work is complete.

Therefore, Sunday, 4 May 2014, will be a day off for all IKNS students.
