Dear Parents of Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10 students,
End of Year Examinations in the Four “National” Subjects
I am writing to share with you the circular that we received from the Ministry of Education on Thursday, 14 May 2015, regarding the end of year examinations in the four "national" subjects (Arabic, Islamic Studies, National Studies and Arabic Social Studies).
The Ministry had decided earlier this year to adopt a system of centralized examinations in these four subjects for students in Grades 7 up to Grade 10. These exams were to be prepared by the Ministry and administered by the school as per an examinations schedule that is to be prepared by the Ministry.
However, the circular that we received on Thursday, cancels the centralized examinations in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Arabic Social Studies, while it keeps them in National Studies as per the following schedule:
Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Monday, 1 June 2015
Grade 10 Tuesday, 9 June 2015
As for Arabic, Islamic Studies and Arabic Social Studies, the school will prepare its own end of year examinations covering the material studied in the class. These examinations will take place according to a school-devised schedule that will be distributed to the students soon. Students will be informed of the required lessons in these exams by their teachers.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter and wish your children success in their final exams.
Sincere regards,
Dr. Kamal Abdel-Nour
School President
