Dear Grade 12 Students and Parents,

Mid-Year Examination Dates
For all Grade 12 students
Wednesday, December 5thto Thursday 13th, 2018.
2.
Final Year Examination Dates
For students enrolled in the IB Diploma program as well as those registered for IB Courses (what is referred to as “mock” exams)
Tuesday, 2ndApril 2019 to Monday, 22ndApril 2019.
For students enrolled in the High School Diploma program
Sunday, April 21st2019 to Thursday, April 30th2019.

Official IB Exams
For students enrolled in the IB Diploma program as well as those registered for IB Courses
Friday, 3rdMay 2019 to Tuesday, 23rdMay 2019.
4. The Graduation Ceremonyis scheduled for Sunday, June 16th2019 and will be held at the Gulf Conventions Center (Gulf Hotel)
5. Advice for summer 2019:
If you son/daughter is heading to the USA for university studies, kindly note that a student is only allowed to apply for an F1 (student) visa 120 days before the course start date. However, a student can only enter the USA 30 days before the start date.
As for the UK, the CAS letter will only be issued after final results are issued (results are released for high school students in June and IB Diploma students receive results in July). The university will then begin the process of issuing a Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS) letter. You can begin applying for a Tier 4 visa not more than three months before the course start date.
It is normal for the visa application process to take place at the end of August or beginning of September.
