Dear Parents of Grade 12 Students,
Many congratulations to you and to your son/daughter on the occasion of his/her graduation. It gives us pleasure to remind you that the Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2018 will be held on Sunday, 22ndApril 2018. The ceremony will take place at the Gulf International Convention and Exhibition Center, Gulf Hotel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Kindly, read carefully the information provided below.
Photos and Videos
VYU Studios will take photos and video of the ceremony. You can also purchase a photography package from them, which will take place in the Line-up Hall (basement) after the ceremony ends. All other photographers will not be allowed access to the Graduation Hall during the ceremony, they will only be allowed access to the basement before the event starts or after the ceremony ends wherever you wish.
Guest Regulations
Please note that guests will be asked to submit their CPR (ID) number and graduation invitation at the entrance of the graduation hall. Doors will open at 6:00 pm. To avoid long queues at the entrance of the graduation hall, kindly ask your guests to arrive on time and have their CPR cards and graduation tickets ready for inspection.
Parents and Guests are kindly requested to refrain from interrupting speakers, making unnecessary noises, clapping excessively, whistling, blowing horns, using mobile phones and moving during ceremony.
The Ministry of Interior at the gate may confiscate flower bouquets, banners and balloons.The school bears no responsibility for this. You may bring them to the photography sessions once the ceremony is over.
Kindly explain these regulations to your guests in order to have a dignified and well-organized ceremony.
Please note the following important dates
Thursday, 18thApril, 2018 (12:30 pm):
Students meet in the school gym for a graduation rehearsal.
Thursday, 18thApril, 2018 (8:00 am to 2:00 pm):
Parents / students collect the graduation invitations from Central Administration.
Sunday, 22ndApril, 2018 (4:30 pm):
Students must come in caps and gowns to identify their seats, positions in the line and on the stage, participate in a practice session, and take a group photo. The ceremony starts at 6:30 pm and ends at 8:00 pm
May 2018 (to be finalized):
Students receive their diploma, transcript and good conduct letter (once it has been attested by the Ministry of Education).
