Faculty In-Service Day on 7November

In preparation for the re-accreditation of the school, IKNS faculty members will have an in-service day on Thursday, 7 November 2013.

Accreditation is a form of quality assurance process under which the services, operations and programs offered by the school are evaluated by an external agency with the purpose of determining if international educational standards are met by the school or not. If the standards are met, accredited status is granted by the agency.

IKNS was first accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) in1994 for a period of ten years. The second accreditation was gained in 2004, and in 2009, IKNS renewed its accredited status for another five years. It is now time for another cycle of accreditation.

During the in-service day, faculty members will be involved in fifteen different committees reflecting on different aspects of the school. By the end of the day, each committee will produce a report on one aspect as subscribed by MSA.

In order to allow the teachers to complete the tasks assigned to them by the administration, the school will be closed for students on Thursday, 7 November 2013.
