Dear Parents and Students of Grades 9-12,
We are proud to introduce the new Ibn Khuldoon National School uniform for students in grades 9-12 for the academic year 2017-2018, which will be compulsory as of September 2017.
We worked closely with senior students, the PTSA and the House of Uniforms to create a school wear portfolio that is trendy, comfortable and one that can withstand the active lifestyles of young adults.
The new uniform requisite consists of a variety of options to choose from. Students can select a polo shirt and/or a more formal personalized IKNS shirt or blouse. Girls can select to wear either trousers or skirts as per the design shown above. All trousers are made of stretch fabric, allowing more comfort, therefore, leggings will not be permitted.
As for the PE sportswear, it will comprise of the following items:
1. Coyote Short or Long Sleeve Raglan T-shirt in a cool Cotton/Lycra blend.
2. Cotton/Lycra blend sports shorts and tapered trousers in a Mélange, French Terry Finishing.
3. Coyote Bomber Track Jacket in a French Terry Finishing.
When and where can the uniforms be purchased?
The new uniforms will be available in Standard Sizes at the House of Uniforms– Tala Plaza branch in Segaya and Al Aali Complex branch in August. Students that require a tailored, made-to-measure uniform must visit the HOU branches and place an order at the earliest to ensure that uniforms will be ready for September.
Please note that HOU staff will only accept orders for uniforms that are not available in standard sizes.
