Dear Parents of Grade 10 and 11 Students,
Your son / daughter has just received the results of the PSAT test that was conducted in October 2018. The results of this test are indicative and will not affect the student’s school grade.
Understanding the score report
There are 3 numbers listed in the report.
The number at the top is the total score and it is out of 1520.
The number on the left is the English score, and the number on the right is the Math score.
Each section is scored between 160-760.
The report will indicate your son/daughter’s score and also indicate whether the score met the minimum benchmark.
Keep in mind, the PSAT and the SAT are on the same scale, meaning, if your son/daughter took the SAT instead of the PSAT on that date, he/she would have received the same score.
Your son/daughter will have received an individualized score report in addition to the test booklet during their Math class. Your son/daughter can see the actual questions, correct answers, and difficulty alongside his/her own answers. He/she can use the score report to review the questions answered incorrectly or omitted and to see detailed answer explanations.
