Independent Lives awarded contract to provide support to East Sussex residents

Independent Lives has been awarded a contract from East Sussex County Council to provide support to disabled people in the county.

The service will ensure that recipients of Direct Payments have access to support from highly trained and experienced staff.

Support is provided by our information and advice team and specialist Direct Payment advisers. We also have our sister website PA Pages where residents can view information, recruit personal assistants, and access training.

We will also support people through home visits where appropriate.

AudioActive free music sessions

This Easter, AudioActive offers an exciting chance for young creatives aged 11 to 16 to dive into the world of music.

Hosted in Worthing, Crawley, and Eastbourne, these free music sessions, part of the HAF programme, invite participants to rap, sing, produce, and record music.

Under the guidance of professional artists, these four-day sessions not only include free equipment for music-making but also provide a balanced lunch, highlighting the importance of nutrition in creativity.

Spaces are limited, so early sign-up is encouraged for this unique blend of food, fun, and music.

Adur Special Needs Project stage production workshop

This summer, ignite your child's creativity with a thrilling stage adventure.

The Adur Special Needs Project presents a series of stage production workshops. From April 20, leading up to a show on July 6, children aged 8 to 18 with SEND are invited to explore the realms of music, drama, arts, and prop-making.

With the guidance of seasoned professionals, this is a chance to shine on stage. This is an amazing opportunity to turn the spotlight on talent and build confidence.
