Scope's let's play fair campaign

Scope is calling on local authorities to work with families to create fully inclusive playgrounds.

Scope have found that 49% of families with disabled children face accessibility problems with their local playground and 10% of parents of disabled children surveyed said that their child has been hurt using inaccessible equipment.

Scope is asking for people to take part in their 'play investigation' scheme, which involves answering a few questions about you and your local playground.

Scope will then feed this information back to local authorities to make playgrounds across the country more accessible for everyone.

A chance to attend the adult social care APPG

The adult social care all party parliamentary group (APPG) is looking for a personal assistant to attend their upcoming roundtable with the Care Workers Charity.

The meeting takes place on Wednesday 13 September at 15:00 in Portcullis House in Westminster.

The APPG would like a PA/PAs to attend the roundtable as they believe that their experiences and stories will provide a different perspective on care and support.

The APPG are keen to have a wide range of individuals from the social care sector sharing their experiences.

In terms of what to expect and what they will be discussing, there will be a range of carers, care providers and people with lived experience at this roundtable sharing their experiences of and working in the social care sector.

MPs will also be in attendance to meet with their constituents, and to listen to those sharing their stories and experiences.

If you would be interested in taking part, please email Paul Clarke at Skills for Care by clicking the button below.
