Tackling digital exclusion e-learning

As part of our work with the NHS to tackle digital exclusion amongst disabled people - and following on from the digital health section on our advice hub -  we have put together a short e-learning course: Tackling digital exclusion.

The course is aimed at anyone working in health and social care and will enable them to understand digital exclusion, spot the signs of a digitally vulnerable person and know what they can do to help them.

The free course takes around thirty minutes to complete, which you can access through PA Pages at the button below.

My Vote My Voice

Around 1.5 million people in the UK have a learning disability, with over 700,000 autistic people. But research in 2019 found that less than two-thirds of the general public know they have an equal right to vote.

With a general election in 2024, My Vote My Voice wants to see more people with learning disabilities and autistic people registered to vote and using their legal right to vote.

Help us to raise funds for our community hub

Employees and friends of Independent Lives will be experiencing a taste of the high life this June with a unique fundraising event.

30 fearless folks will be lowered 138 meters from the top of the iconic i360 in Brighton to raise funds to develop a community hub in our offices in Worthing.

The hub will act as a safe and accessible space for disabled people to meet, learn and share their experiences.
