(4) Pathshala Lunch Sponsors
Every year, each family joins with a group of other families to sponsor lunch on a pathshala day. If you have not signed up for pathshala year 2018-19, please reach out to sunilpallavi@juno.com. We are looking for 8 more lunch sponsors this year.
(5) Volunteers and open positions:
JSMW is a sucessful community due to its volunteers. So here is an opportunity to give back to the society. We are looking for several volunteers to help and assist with several small projects or events- technical (IT), registration, filing, coordinator, prayers, crowd control, events, any many more (devoted time would be about 4-6 hours a year).
Also, the education department is looking for an education Co-Chair. Anyone interested please email education@jainsocietydc.org.
(6) Adult Sutra class
For adults, interested in learning Bhaktamar, Kalyan Mandir, Badi Shanti, Antagad Sutra and more, Savita Jain will be starting classes in the Gym after prayers at 10:30 am. Don't miss this opportunity to expand your knowledge.
(7) Parking Fines for parking in emergency lanes:
Due to cars being left unattended in the emergency lanes, we are at another risk in our continued rental agreement with Cloverly Elementary. Hence, $100 JSMW parking tickets will go in effect to all cars being parked in the emergency lanes. Please note, you may use the emergency lanes to unload food and other materials but you CANNOT leave your car unattended.

(8) Pathshala Inclement Weather Policy:
As we get further into the winter season, you may be wondering what is the policy for Pathshala during bad weather conditions. JSMW Pathshala will follow Maryland County Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF) guidelines. Please note, this is a different set of guidelines than Maryland County school closings given our events are held during the weekends. Therefore, if CUPF is open, we will have Pathshala. In cases when the school is open but the weather is bad, we encnourage you to touch base with your teacher to ensure they will be present. The CUPF link is below and we will be having this link available at the top of our JSMW Pathshala webpage.
