Jai Jinendra,

 

Happy New Year to all JSMW members and supporters. It is my privilege and true honor to serve as the President of the Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington (JSMW).

 

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our society, and I promise to work tirelessly every single day with two main goals; to keep our society united and see our new Jain Center Dream become Reality. I will make sure to prove worthy of this responsibility that you have entrusted in me.

 

I take this opportunity to thank members of the Executive Committee (EC) team and their willingness to serve in various capacities.

 

A big vote of appreciation for our past President, Sharadbhai Doshi, for his selfless dedication to our Temple and our community for the past three years. With excellent support from him as well as our key players in the EC team, I have no doubts that we will excel to meet your expectations.

Volunteers are worth their weight in gold. They share their time and talents without any compensation, so it's crucial to acknowledge their contributions and let them know they are valued. They are critical to the success of our Sangh, so we want to make sure that we take the time to thank them for their contributions and continued commitment to our Sangh!

 

All JSMW members including current elected or

appointed officials can apply.

 

Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington (JSMW) is a certifying organization and has been granted the authority to administer President’s Voluntary Service Awards to our volunteers.

 

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) recognizes, celebrates and holds up as role models Americans making a positive impact as engaged and deeply committed volunteers.

 

The Award enables community organizations – like JSMW – to amplify their gratitude by joining with the President of the United States to thank their most dedicated volunteers. 

 

Various award categories include the official PVSA pin, medallion, or coin; a personalized certificate of achievement; a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States; or a combination of all the above.
