We will start our Samayik promptly at 10:30 am followed by
Bhaktamar and Lecture by Kamala Ji Mehta.

Lectures On Paryushan By Dr. Jitendra Babulal Shah

Following are just a few noteworthy achievements
- As the representative of Jainism participated in World Religion Parliament in Chicago, USA 1992.2.
- Co-ordinated H. H. Dalai Lama’s visit to Palitana and a Meeting with Jain Acharyas to discuss Non-violence & Religion in 2010.
- Organized visit of H. H. Dr. Abdul Kalam, former President of India to inaugurate E-library of 2200 printed manuscripts at L.D. Institute of Indology in 2011. Added 5000 manuscripts in the collection of L. D. Institute of Indolog
- Participated in more than 60 National seminars / workshops to present research papers and published more than 75 Research papers in Gujarat, Hindi and English in different National and International Magazines

Paryushan Parva Mahotsav
Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington is pleased to announce the 2019 Paryushan Parva Mahotsav to be held at the Jain Center.
During these auspicious days, various religious programs and services will be organized as detailed below:
We are pleased to announce that Shri Narendrabhai Nandu has kindly accepted to grace the Paryushan Parva celebration. He will be accompanied by Meghbhai Nandu.
For Jiv Daya, we request you to avoid lawn moving, shrubs/tree pruning during Paryushan & Das Lakshan Parva
Temple Lunch & Dinner Sponsorship
During the Paryushan we will serve lunch and dinner at the temple. If you wish to participate, please RSVP by clicking on the link below at least 24 hours in advance. Request RSVP for lunch and dinner to avoid wasting food and make sure there is no shortage.

Paryushan Swami Vatsalya sponsorship at the temple is $101 per day. You can sponsor any number of days as you wish. If you wish to sponsor a day or more, you can select it from the dropdown on the RSVP form or email your name with the donation and days to events@jainsocietydc.org
Samvatsari Pratikraman Schedule
Aarti and Mangal Divo will be performed at Jain Center immediately after Pratikraman in the evening, followed by Tapasvi Bahuman.
Samooh Parna
Parna for Tapasvis will be held at the Jain Center on Friday, Sep 3rd morning starting at 8:30 am. Various opportunities for Parna sponsorship and other activities are available. If you wish to be a sponsor, please send us email at Events@JainSocietyDC.org

We request to all of you to please come on time. During the Swapna Ceremony, the labharthi members will have the honor of carrying each Swapna to the beats of drums and music.
Gheeboli for Swapnas
Maximum of 3 families can participate in Gheeboli for any Swapna except for Swapna #4 (Lakshmiji) and Parna which can have maximum of 5 families. A family comprises of labharthi + their unmarried kids + their parents.
Swami Vatsalya Bhojan (Dinner) Sponsorship
Swapna Ceremony program will be followed by Swami Vatsalya Bhojan, for which sponsorship opportunities are currently available. You can sponsor the Swami Vatsalya Bhojan by donating a starting amount of $101 (Sadharmik Bhakti Bronze). Additional sponsorship options include $251 (Silver), $501 (Gold), $1,001 (Platinum), and $1,501 (Diamond) levels. You or a group of families can jointly sponsor the entire Swami Vatsalya Bhojan for a donation of $6,001.

Das Lakshan Parva
September 3 to September 12
Das Lakshan Parva will be celebrated this year from September 3rd to September 12th.
During weekdays, there will be aarti followed by pravachans by
Falguni Ben Zaveri.
Nandeeshwar Dweep Mandal Vidhaan Puja will be held on
Saturday, September 7th.
This year Kshamavani Parv will be celebrated on September 14th that will
include Abhishek and Ratnatray Vidhaan.
