Today Is Our Temple's 31st Anniversary
August 20, 2020 will be the 31st anniversary day of our Jain Temple at
1021 Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Our Jain Society was established in March,1980.
A big house on a 4.35 acre lot was purchased in March 1989 and a construction contract was awarded to modify the building to our current Jain Center facility.
Temple Pratishtha was performed on August 20, 1989 in the presence of about 1000 persons including 7 Sadhus and 2 Sadhviji, viz., Acharya Sushil Kumarji, Gurudev Shree Chitrabhanu, Bandhu Triputi (Munivijayji, Keertichandraji and Jinchandraji), Charukeerti Bhattarakji, Amarendra Muniji, and Sadhvi Shree Madhusmitaji & Jaysmitaji.
The facility was paid up by March 1990. |

Please take as many Labhs as you want.
There is no restriction on the number of families for a particular Labh.
However, please do not combine multiple families for a Labh.
You can donate more than the presented Nakro for the Labh.
The Nakro amounts are designed so that more families can participate.

With this year's virtual Paryushan/Das Lakshana celebrations, JAINA has decided to recognize Tapasvis on www.jaina.org and our social media platforms.
