We are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Dr. Niren Laxmichand Nagda who
left for heavenly abode on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 72.
 
He had deep understanding of Jain principles and followed them deeply in his daily life.
He was active in Jain Society, and was instrumental in setting up and administering the
current format of the Pathsala and was a teacher for many years. They just celebrated
their 50th Wedding Anniversary in December 2018. He did his undergraduate studies –
Chemical engineering - in IIT, Powai, Mumbai, Master degree in Chemical engineering
from University of Pittsburg and Doctorate (PhD) in Environmental engineering from
University of Illinois.
 
He is survived by his wife Jaya, children Dr. Suneel and Sonia, daughter in law Jennifer,
son in law Jason, three grandchildren Maya, Ethen and Bode, one brother Anil and three
sisters Hansa, Kashmira, Amita and their families.
