Jai Jinendra   We are saddened to inform you that Dr. Pawan Kumar Jain, MD, PhD, a  longtime member of Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington and one of the initiators of Abhishek & Dev Shastra Guru Puja in the Digambar tradition at our temple, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, December 30, 2021 at 8:05 am at his home in North Potomac, Maryland.   He passed peacefully while observing Tyga during his last 24 hours of life in accordance with Jain Tradition. He was a physician and research scientist for AllMS-New Delhi,  NIH , and the FDA. In addition, he had served as the Joint Secretary for JSMW.  He is survived by his wife, Dr. Nisha Jain, daughters, Dr. Deepanjali Jain and Divya Jain, PhD Candidate and extended family and friends around the globe.
