Snatra pooja illustrates the celebration of two of the auspicious (out of five) events (Kalyanaks) occurring in the last life of Tirthankar Bhagwan.
Puja includes Ashta Prakari Puja and wishes Shanti (peace) for all living beings and rejoices the event by performing Aarti , Mangal Divo , Shanti Kalash and Chaitya Vandan .
Sponsors are always welcome
Ghee boli for Aarti, Mangal Divo and Shanti Kalash.
However, If we have sponsors for the Pooja then
Shanti Kalash Labh is given to sponsor family.

This puja honors the Dev, Shastra, and Guru. Dev means God or Arihant or Siddha Shastra means Scriptures. Guru means Teachers or one who possesses “real knowledge". By honoring Dev, Shastra, and Guru, we draw attention to these three entities as a means for our path to liberation.

JSMW Mahavir Janma Kalyanak Celebration
April 27 - 1 PM

On April 27, 2024, starting 1 P.M., we will be celebrating Bhagwan Mahavir Swami’s Janma Kalyanak, a very auspicious day for all Jains.
Our celebration will feature stage performances followed by Swamivatsalya dinner.
This Kalyanak celebration is a great opportunity for doing Sadharmik Vatsalya. Please consider donating to Swami Vatsalya and fulfilling our annual Shravak kartavya / duty. It is recommended to contribute $101 per family. The cost of Swami Vatsalya is approximately $18 per person. Help Jain Society by sponsoring or donating towards Swami Vatsalya.

Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Venue: Cloverly Elementary School
Please fast overnight; only water after midnight. Following tests will be performed: cholesterol (lipid profile), anemia (iron level), A1C diabetes, kidney disease, iron level, etc.
