We regretfully must cancel the blood draw portion of the JSMW 2023 Health Fair on 5/14 due to a lack of phlebotomists (those that draw blood) and supplies.

 

JSMW Health Day on May 21st

Join us on Sunday, May 21st, for a health-focused fun event, "JSMW Health Day". The event will begin with an energizing Zumba session led by Dr. Pallavi Gowda, an internal medicine physician, US Army Veteran, and Zumba instructor. After you've pumped up your heart, hear from Dr. Chirag Sandesara, a cardiologist specializing in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular diseases, on how to keep your heart healthy and young. You will also have the opportunity to consult with various physicians, dentists, and therapists present at the session.

Chaitya Paripati is one of the essentials of Paryushan, where Shravak or Shravika makes a pilgrim (jatra) to a Chaitya (Temple). This pilgrimage is done after Paryushan for worship, prayer and meditation by visiting 5 different Chaityas (temples).  

 

With this in mind, we have planned a Chaitya Paripati - visit to 5 Jain temples during the weekend of Oct 7-8, 2023.

We will leave at 6.30 AM on Saturday, Oct 7 from our Jain Center, and return at 9:30 PM on Sunday, Oct 8th with overnight stay at Siddhachalam. There might be some changes to the list of temples we are visiting though we are not expecting any changes at this time. We will provide the final itinerary with the arrival/departure times at each of this locations to all participants few days before the Oct 7, 2023.

Charges for this 2-day trip are only $150 per adult and $125 per child (12 years and below). The charges include transportation, food and overnight stay at Siddhachalam.

Pathshala Registration 2023-24 is open to JSMW members and is $200 per student.  Registration fees/donation go towards materials and school rental costs. Registration is considered complete  only after payment is received.  Full details and guidelines are available on the registration form.
