Monthly Dev Shastra Guru Pooja

Dev-Shastra-Guru Pooja will be held on Saturday, May 21st at Jain Center. We will be performing Panch Parmeshthi Vidhaan. It’s a beautiful Puja which will walk us through the special characteristics of each of our Parmeshthi’s - Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyaay and Saadhu. Abhishek will start sharp at 9:00 AM followed by Vidhaan.
The Pooja and Lunch for this month is sponsored by Families of Meenal Pavan Zaveri and Nidhi Aatam Dhanote.

Pathshala - End of Year Celebration on 6/5!
Our Pathshala families will be gathering on 6/5 at Cloverly Elementary from 10am-2pm to celebrate another amazing year. We will have a teacher and class recognition program and we will be congratulating our Class G graduates. There will be activities and games followed by lunch.

Walkathon for a Worthy Cause

JSMW IS JOINING BAPS WALKATHON FOR A WORTHY CAUSE
Most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among US women and is the second leading cause of death among women. Please join us in supporting BAPS Charities and their “In the Joy of Others” 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Washington DC to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and treatment. We are raising funds for our national beneficiary, Susan G. Komen, a leading breast cancer research organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts. Every donation also goes towards supporting our local beneficiaries, Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School located in Beltsville, MD and the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department.
Registration instructions:
2. Click on “Register Now”.
3. Enter “Username”, “Display Name”, for “My Center” select “Washington, D.C.”, “First Name”, “Last Name”, “Email”, “City”, “Gender”, “Birth Year”, and “T-shirt Size”.
4. Create a “Password” and click the box at the bottom confirming you are above the age of 18 and agree to the terms and conditions.
5. You will be brought to the “Activity Registration” page. If you have any children under the age of 18, you can click the box and enter your children’s information and register them.
6. Enter your Initials to accept the Waiver. Click the box to confirm you are above the age of 18 and accept the waiver of liability.
7. Click on “Submit Registration.”
