Upcoming Pathshala Events
Every year we have new volunteers who launch initiatives for our Pathshala community. Thank you to our volunteers for initiating the below activities.

  • 10/1 - Book Recycling: We have started a book recycling project. On Oct 1st, please bring in your old Pathshala books that you are not using and those books will be recycled for another student. Please be sure the books are in good condition without any writing inside them. For more information, contact Sara Jain ( jainsara@gmail.com) and/or Jignesh Shah ( jsquareshah@gmail.com ).
  • 10/1 - Sport Equpiment, Shoes, and Cleats Exchange: Given the great response, we will hold the sports exchange again during Oct 1st class. Please bring your lightly used sports gear and exchange for something else you'd like for your grown children (or just feel good that at least a young child will enjoy those cleats or bats). If you don't bring anything, you may still pick up what you like -we will have a Jiv Daya donation box for any donations you'd like to make in exchange. Please clean the equipment before bringing to the Exchange. For more information, contact Rahul Jain ( publicrelations@jainsocietydc.org).
  • 10/15 - Public Speaking Class: Are you shy about public speaking? Or, do you wish you had a few tips to make public speaking easier? Pulkit Gangwal will be conducting Public Speaking classes for adults. There will be six classes total, always the second Pathshala of the month. Our first class was on Sept 17th but if you're still interested, we will accept registration up thru Oct 15th which will be the second class. This adult class offering will be from 10:30 – 11:30 in the gym. If you are interested, please email Pulkit Gangwal ( pulkit1010@gmail.com) . There is a $20 donation fee for this class.

10/15 Diwali Lantern Exchange:

This year, we'll be celebrating Diwali by having a Diwali Lantern Exchange. Students can make and decorate a lantern at home and then write a special Diwali greeting of their choice. These lanterns will be displayed during class and then exchanged with another friend. For more information, see the attached flyer.
