Hi ,

As Japan enters March, temperatures begin to rise and cherry blossoms continue to bloom throughout the country, signifying the end of winter. Many festivals occur, including the well-beloved 'hanami', or cherry blossom viewing festival, where patrons gather with friends/family and have a picnic together under the cherry blossom trees.

Note that peak cherry blossom viewing period varies region to region, and it is best to check the cherry blossom forecast before making travel arrangements surrounding cherry blossoms.

This month’s newsletter includes a guide to Japan in March; the 2024 cherry blossom forecast; sumo wrestling and much more. Read on to find out more.
