A new tea-themed cruise sets sail on Lake Ashi this December

Enjoy an evening of light at Hiroshima Dreamination
Now in its 24th year, Hiroshima Dreamination returns to light up the city centre with dazzling displays and festive cheer. From 17 November 2025 to 3 January 2026, the streets of Hiroshima transform into a glowing fairytale world, perfect for evening strolls and family outings. This year’s highlights include the Shining Castle, twinkling with radiant lights, and the new Music Tree in the Secret Wonderland, a whimsical amusement park for children.
Event hours: Daily from 5:30pm to 10:30pm , with lights beginning around 6:00pm on the first night.

Where the gods gather: Kamiari Festival
Each year, during the tenth month of the lunar calendar, Izumo Taisha in Shimane Prefecture becomes the sacred meeting place of Japan's deities. It is believed they gather to determine the bonds and relationships that people will form in the year ahead. Experience the traditional welcome ceremony at Inasa Beach, and a farewell ritual as the gods return to their home shrines.
