Insider Tip
#3: Takkyubin Luggage Transfer Service
Travel like a pro and avoid the awkward lugging around of suitcases through crowded stations and cobbled streets by sending your suitcases across Japan using the takkyubin luggage transfer service. Bags can be sent safely and securely to/from airports, hotels, convenience stores and other pick-up locations. Prices are reasonable with costs starting at around $26 per large suitcase and $20 for smaller suitcases (subject to change). Baggage is usually delivered by the next business day, except in remote areas. Ski and snowboard equipment can also be sent generally within 2 days to and from your ski resort (subject to conditions).
