Dear ,
Welcome to the August edition of the Japan Travel Trade Newsletter for 2025.
The peak summer month of August is a time of many summer festivals and the Obon summer holiday period. Obon (held 13-16 August this year) is traditionally a time in Japan when relatives gather at their family homes, enjoy festive community dances, and take family outings. Transport including flights, trains, and highway buses will likely be crowded during this time so it is recommended to plan ahead for your clients.
Read on for information about Kyoto summer special openings, handy itinerary ideas and guides for your clients, and a secluded tropical island!
