Dear ,
Welcome to the June edition of the Japan Travel Trade Newsletter for 2025. It's hard to believe that we are halfway through 2025 already!
Although the official 'rainy season' of June may not seem like the most appealing time of year to visit Japan, there is no shortage of things to do. It is a great time to beat the crowds at popular attractions as well as experience uniquely June activities like the blooming of hydrangeas, and the visiting of picturesque landscapes like water-filled rice paddies.
Read on for important JNTO Roadshow and Webinar registrations, handy Japan cruise port information, and an introduction of a regional town close to my heart!

This little town in Saga Prefecture that I called home for two years, has a lot to offer without the crowds! There is the beautiful and brightly coloured Yutoku Inari Shrine, one of only three major Inari shrines in Japan. There is also the famed ' Sake Brewery' street where you can try traditionally brewed sake, and step back in time amongst the preserved historic buildings from the Edo Period.
Neighbouring to Kashima, Ureshino City is also well worth a visit with an abundance of onsen, ryokan, and 'tea tourism' experiences.
