Hidden cherry blossom spots in Tokyo and Kyoto 

 

Heading to Tokyo or Kyoto over the cherry blossom season? We recommend checking some of these hidden gems to enjoy the cherry blossoms such as  Musashino ParkLake Okutama ,or the Oedo Fuugawa sakura festival in Tokyo. The 'Welcome Suica' Mobile app is now available to international visitors to Japan. Unlike the previous physical card version, the mobile app lasts for 180 days from date of issue and top up can be made via credit card or cash. The Suica mobile app can be used on trains and buses throughout Japan and even the shinkansen! (JR East only). Please note that it is currently only available to iphone users. Shinkansen Charter Service - JR Central

JR Central has introduced a charter service for the shinkansen. You can now hire anywhere from a single car to a whole shinkansen for your client's group on some routes around mainland Japan. For more details and a contact click here

2025 is an exciting year for contemporary art in Japan. The spring session of the Setouchi Triennale starts on 18 April, featuring innovative exhibitions on the scenic islands of the Seto Inland Sea. The Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival will run alongside the World Expo, followed by the Aichi Triennale from September the year. The much anticipated Naoshima New Museum of Art is also set to open May 31st, and exclusive art and nature tours are on offer on Sakushima island near Nagoya.
