The 'Welcome Suica' Mobile app is now available to international visitors to Japan. Unlike the previous physical card version, the mobile app lasts for 180 days from date of issue and top up can be made via credit card or cash. The Suica mobile app can be used on trains and buses throughout Japan and even the shinkansen! (JR East only). Please note that it is currently only available to iphone users. Shinkansen Charter Service - JR Central
JR Central has introduced a charter service for the shinkansen. You can now hire anywhere from a single car to a whole shinkansen for your client's group on some routes around mainland Japan. For more details and a contact click here.
