All I WANT for Christmas is...
When asked what most gardeners would wish for Christmas, we all know what they really want is several months of steady, soaking rains, and a good 500 hours of frost without a hard freeze would also be appreciated. Personally I’m looking for a species of squirrels that eats only Florida betony, nut grass, and oxalis, and second on my list is a self-weeding garden. Having no control over Mother Nature, we looked around the nursery and came up with some great ideas on what to give to your favorite gardener.

HELP A FRUSTRATED GARDENER
-If you really want to make your gardeners day or year, give them a gift certificate for a micro sprinkler irrigation system. The average DYI irrigation system runs about $150.00 to $200.00. We’ll help them plan it and show them how to install it themselves.
-Got a gardener SPINNING THEIR WHEELS trying to figger out how to landscape their yard? Sure signs of this syndrome are hours spent walking around the yard in circles. Buy this poor soul a gift certificate for an hour ($65.00 and up) of Betsy Smith of GARDEN ARTS time. Betsy will help with site evaluation, design and plant selection.
What says more than a truck load of COMPOST? I guarantee you, she will know you love her, if you offer her the gift of PLANT GOLD, so skip the DIAMONDS and give her what she really wants. We’ll provide the card so you can avoid the smell of compost under the tree.
-GIFT CERTIFICATES Got a gardener who’s hard to shop for? Running late and can’t get to the nursery? DON”T PANIC! We can mail one to you or send it directly to them.
