A PERK FOR NEW MEMBERS

The Kohelet Board has voted to allow any new member to join without paying dues the first year. While this applies to any new member, we especially want to encourage young families to become members. Click here for the membership form.

SEDER THANKS

A big Thank You to Barbara Beiser and the Baronbergs for organizing such a great Passover Seder at Kohelet. A great deal of thought and work and participation went into it — and it paid off! All Kohelet members and their guests (a total of almost 60) were engaged, had fun, and finished the evening with plenty of good food. We loved it!

A TOUR OF PROVERBS/MISHLEI WITH NEIEL

Proverbs 15

A gentle response allays wrath;
A harsh word provokes anger.
The tongue of the wise produces much knowledge,
But the mouth of the dullard puts out much folly.
A healing tongue is a tree of life,
But a devious one makes for a broken spirit.
A joyful heart make a cheerful face,
A sad heart makes a despondent mood.
Plans are foiled for want of counsel,
But they succeed through many advisors.

JFS WEINBERG FOOD PANTRY SPRING FOOD DRIVE

Please help stop hunger in our community. The Jewish Family Service's Weinberg Food Pantry will begin their Passover/Easter food drive soon. Donations drop significantly in the springtime, straining the pantry's ability to feed the hungry at this time of year. All pantry clients have very low incomes, and food insecurity is a major concern in their lives.

As you begin cleaning for Passover and Spring, please remember JFS. All non-perishable food donations are welcome and encouraged. Please bring your donations to the JFS barrel that will be located at Kohelet in the hallway next to the sanctuary from March 23 to May 2. Last year, our small synagogue had one of the fullest bins of all churches and synagogues that participated. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Please contact Sharon Pincus with any questions at sharonrpincus@yahoo.com
