DECEMBER 11 EVENT HIGHLIGHTING INNOVATIVE, THERAPEUTIC BIKING PROGRAM

Conquering Challenges, One Trail at a Time: An inspiringbiking program helping Israeli children affected by PTSD and special needs

Please join us for a presentation about an innovative, therapeutic program for children affected by PTSD, anxiety disorders, ADD, developmental disabilities, and living under severe stress in specific regions of Israel.

The Geerz biking program has a documented success rate for helping these children. They are now hoping to expand their reach, particularly to the area along the Gaza border (where children experience rocket attacks, one minute flights to bomb shelters, and continuing threats of violence) and periphery towns where low-income families live.

The founder and director of this therapeutic biking project (you can check out their website at:
https://www.geerz.org/) will speak to us and answer questions about their drug-free, natural program. Please join us to hear more about how Geerz is changing lives as children learn to “conquer challenges, one trail at a time.”

WEDNESDAY, Dec. 11, 2019, 7:00-8:30 pm, at BEIT KOHELET.

HIGHLIGHT: ISRAEL

The Beta Yisrael community is part of the rich diversity that makes up Israel.” Israeli-Ethiopians celebrated Sigd, a muti-generational gathering that attracted thousands from all over Israel to the Promenade that overlooks Jerusalem’s Old City. Sigd is the Ethiopian-Jewish day of rededication to G-d and Torah, the connection of the community to Jerusalem, and a commitment to Jewish unity.
