ANNOUNCEMENTS
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Good news! We're done! The construction at Kohelet after the accident has been completed, and we are now good as new. A huge shout to Chuck, who negotiated with the insurance and the contractor, and to everyone else who made this possible. If you have not been to services for awhile, please come and check out our new and improved building. It will look very much the same, yet fresher and newer. You can enjoy our new landscaping in front of the building as well. We have shown that we are resilient. We are recharged and moving forward, stronger than ever.

Thanks,
Misty

JEWISH MINDFULNESS MEDITATION GROUP

Are you interested in starting a meditation practice and have been waiting for an opportunity to meditate Jewishly?  Welcome to Judaism Your Way’s weekly mindfulness meditation group.

Mindfulness is the capacity to keep calmly knowing change through bringing loving awareness to the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual truth of each moment of our lives.

The Judaism Your Way Mindfulness Meditation group meets every Tuesday evening from 6:15 to 8:00 pm at Kohelet. Each evening will consist of a teaching that integrates mindfulness meditation and Jewish spirituality, mindful sitting and walking meditation, and opportunities for questions, reflection and sharing.

The group is co-led by Rabbi Brian Field, senior rabbi of Judaism Your Way, and Judith Vanderryn, both of whom are alumni of the Jewish Mindfulness Teacher Training Program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.  It is open to people with all levels of meditation experience and Jewish knowledge.   More than a class, this is an ongoing group, open to participation as frequently as your schedule allows.  Kohelet members may attend free of charge but are asked to RSVP for each session attended. See link below.

Questions?  Please contact Rabbi Brian Field at brian@judaismyourway.org or 303-248-7795.

MEET AND GREET:
Tova Leah and Gabi Nachmani
Mon., June 17:
 7:30 pm
The
 Heitler's: 170 South Dexter

Kohelet members, including children, are invited to meet and greet Tova Leah and Gabi Nachmani when they will be in Denver:  We'll have dessert, some schmoozing time, and a chance for all of us to hear about the very impressive work that Gabi has been doing.

Tova Leah ("Tina") and Gabi Nachmani were the first and only residents in our old Kohelet House.  They lived there from when they first were married to the birth of their first child.  Tova Leah was a beloved teacher in our Hebrew school.

Since moving to Israel, Tovah Leah and Gabi have been vital contributors—Tova Leah as a favorite teacher at Pardes, and Gabi with an extraordinary social services project.  You may have read about it in last week's IJN.

The evening will include a fund-raising request but please do not let that discourage you from joining us.  Gabi will talk about Tenufa B'Kehia, which has been both ambitious and amazingly successful in restoring the broken-down homes of Israelis who have sunken into dire poverty.  Gabi's stories of the impacts of what he does are totally inspirational.   See tenufa.org for a short video about the project and information on how to donate.

Hoping that you and your family can join the fun on the 17th!

RSVP's to drheitler@gmail.com will be appreciated.

Don’t miss out!  Be sure to join us on July 26-27.  Questions?  Call Susan Berson at 303-355-2798
