ANNOUNCEMENTS
VIRTUAL SERVICES
Saturdays 10:00am - noon

Last Shabbat many of us experienced something beautiful, Shabbat services at Kohelet via Zoom. We were able to see each other, sing, and pray together. This is a difficult time, and while we are forced to be apart physically, we can still stay connected and support each other. Please join us. If you don't already have Zoom, it's easy to download and install, and it's free. Click on "Join a Meeting." When prompted, enter Kohelet's Meeting ID Number, 749 601 1012. We will be meeting from 10:00 am to approximately noon. Even if you are away from home, you can still join us. Hope to see as many of us as possible this Shabbat.

A WAY WE CAN HELP

Here's something we can do from home. Sadly, in times of crisis haters seem to abound. The ADL has a series of webinars you can sign-up for and participate in.

From the ADL

It has been a challenging series of weeks for all of us, as the Coronavirus has swept through our communities, our country, our world.

At a time when we can all feel fragmented, we need to pull together now more than ever to stand up against antisemitism and extremism — which can find opportunities amid the fear and uncertainty caused by the spread of the virus.

ADL is offering a new series of webinars called Fighting Hate from Home to help unite and inform our community.

OPEN TAKEOUT SERVICES

Here is a list of takeout places still offering service and in the general neighborhood of Beit Kohelet. This is offered by our neighborhood association in the interests of helping both consumers and the businesses.

Presumably this list can change so probably best to call first.

MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS EASTER MORNING
Sun., April 12 at 8:00 a.m. at Lowry Community Church

Members of Kohelet will once again be participating in the preparation and delivery of ~1500 meals for the homeless on Easter morning at Lowry Community Church (855 Yosemite).  We plan to arrive at 8am on April 12. (Note: this is during Passover.  The seders are on the preceding Wednesday and Thursday.)  The work is usually finished between 11 and 12.  You don't have to stay till the end, and you can arrive late.  Those who participated in the past have universally found the experience to be rewarding.  Please let Bennett (parnesb@gmail.comknow if you plan to join us--he will keep everyone posted on any last minute details or changes.
