TBIT FOD Container Pilot Program
We are excited to announce that we will be launching a FOD Container Pilot Program at TBIT. We will be strategically placing branded FOD receptacles on the ramp level in all employee corridors and gates to help capture and dispose of trash before it becomes FOD! In addition, with the assistance of TBITEC and Vanderlande, we will be placing FOD decals on all TBIT Jet Bridge FOD containers to enhance the FOD culture. In total, there will be about 45 additional trash receptacles to help mitigate FOD at TBIT.
TBIT FOD Containers
It is important to note that these FOD receptacles are provided to dispose of personal trash before it can potentially become FOD. These trash receptacles are NOT for cabin service or other airline servicing related trash. Disposing of unauthorized trash in these containers may result in a SAFE citation being issued against the badge holder.

As part of the program, we will also be reintroducing ramp FOD walks and form a FOD Committee comprised of LAWA Airport Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, TBITEC, and Ground Service Providers.

One of the most effective ways to control and prevent FOD is through good housekeeping. No matter where you are working, everyone is encouraged to practice the “Clean As You Go” industry standard. With your help, we can further the goal of the LAX FOD Management Program to promote a safety culture in mitigating FOD.
