Maintaining situational awareness while driving on the airfield is extremely important. Always drive at a speed appropriate for the conditions. This speed may be significantly slower than the speed limit during periods of reduced visibility or heavy congestion. Do not use electronic devices or perform other tasks (eating, writing, etc) while driving. Be vigilant for cues of impending aircraft movement such as wing walkers, anti-collision lights, and increased aircraft engine noise. |
