With Age Comes Success (In Grantseeking)

by Ellen Mowrer

State of Grantseeking data has consistently shown that grantmakers are more likely to fund organizations over ten years of age. Funders want to support organizations that have proven sustainability, and organizational age is perceived as one measurement of sustainability. The data from the 2019 State of Grantseeking Survey reinforces this trend. However, “more likely to fund” for older organizations should not be interpreted as “not at all” for younger organizations. For example, while 93% of organizations over ten years of age reported winning at least one grant award, 75% of organizations ten years of age or less also reported winning at least one grant award.

LIVE Workshop: Downloading Transactions from Your Bank into QuickBooks (NEW)

Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 16, 2019

When it comes to streamlining your accounting process, utilizing the download feature in QuickBooks is a huge game changer and will literally cut the time you spend dealing with your books in half. We are very excited to have Gregg Bossen, a CPA specializing in nonprofits and president of QuickBooks Made Easy for Nonprofits, present this one of a kind and highly requested webinar. In this session, Gregg will cover how to connect your bank and credit card accounts to your QuickBooks; downloading of transactions for free; pointing downloaded transactions to accounts, programs, and grants; creating “rules” in QuickBooks so that the downloaded transactions are preassigned to the correct categories; matching downloaded transactions that have already been entered manually to avoid double entry; and matching downloaded deposits (bank accounts only) to existing items in QuickBooks. There will also be time for your questions. There are separate webinars for people who use the desktop version and the online version of QuickBooks.
