Feeling Unprepared for Your Capital Campaign?
Focus on These 5 Essential Elements

by Kristina Carlson

I attended a fundraising conference where a friend and fellow fundraising consultant presented a session on the 15 essentials to launch a capital campaign. The title made my heart skip a beat. Running a thriving fundraising program while trying to orchestrate a multi-million-dollar capital campaign can be so stressful. I had to learn more, so I tracked my colleague down.

Raise Them Kind

by Jarrett Ransom

Modeling philanthropy with my son is very important to me. After all, I do call myself the Nonprofit Nerd! Over winter break, we visited one of our favorite destinations...Park City, UT! This is a beautiful mountain town that my nine-year-old son, Tanner, and I have grown very fond of over the last few years. We typically visit in the summer but this trip was specifically to enjoy the winter sports this beautiful mountain town offers. We rented skis from the Breeze Ski Rentals office that was conveniently connected to our resort. And what I thought would be a very normal rental process was nothing but normal. It was epic!

In the second webinar, Essential Capital Campaign Preparations, learn about the pre-campaign steps of needs assessments and feasibility studies, what to expect from these tools, and how they can help you understand the financial capacity of your organization and its donors. The third webinar, The Stages and Challenges to Expect During a Capital Campaign, will help you understand the five phases typical to most capital campaigns and the stages and challenges that come with each phase. These webinars can be taken together to methodically build your organization’s readiness to take on a capital campaign or as stand-alone learning opportunities. Executive directors, development directors, and board leaders from a broad range of nonprofit organizations will benefit from these 90-minute presentations.
