Honoring the Life and Memories of Alex Lafferty
Alex was the youngest of three sons of Tom Lafferty, Founder, and brother to Drew Lafferty, President. 
 
Alex served many roles with the company over the years, including Vice President. Regardless of the task, Alex was ready to help get the job done, to meet the needs of the customer and the company.
A mountain of a man, Alex was known to be jovial, tender-hearted and gentle. These characteristics were evident in the many good works he carried out and supported.  These characteristics were also evident, amid Alex’s day-to-day struggles of health and mobility.

One project dear to Alex’s heart was Camp Areopagus Summer Camp and Family Development Center in Vilonia, AR. Alex donated land adjacent to his home for construction of the camp and served as a founding member of the camp’s Oversight Committee. 

 

An avid outdoorsman and expert marksman, Alex enjoyed hunting and target shooting. After his retirement in 2009, Alex and his son, Ethan established an exotic game ranch, Heaven’s Doorstep, in Kemp, Texas. Heaven’s Doorstep hosts many families and groups for hunting excursions, creating once in a lifetime experiences for their guests. Heaven’s Doorstep also created once in a lifetime experiences for Alex and Ethan, as they grew together into a successful father and son team.
