Attractive clumping Brazilian species.
Flower spike features bright pinkish-red bracts with contrasting pale green flower tipped in vivid blue.
Flowers late Fall through Winter.

Upright growth habit. Does well in sunny locations. Flowers late Winter through early Spring.
Inflorescence stands straight up, rising about a foot above the foliage. The stalk has long pinkish-red bracts.
Grey cone-like structure holds yellow flowers which open from the bottom to the top over 3-4 weeks.

Painted Fingernail Bromeliad
Olive green leaves with irregular shaped maroon patches. The tips are brightly painted in crimson.
The short inconspicuous blue flowers appear nestled within a tight rosette.
Excellent as a ground cover in a tropical setting.
