BID Board Meeting

The monthly meeting of the BID Board will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 7:30 am at the Municipal Building on Pilgrim Rd. Conference Room 3344/3345.

Kathy Keene-Amundson was very happy to be able to move her salon to downtown Menomonee Falls.  "Location - Location - Location" was her answer to why she picked this new spot for her salon of 29 years!

She loves the corner spot (Main and Grand).  She stated the women working there love to be able to walk to lunch or shopping, and she has much more space.  Through her new salon windows Kathy can also see her boutique right across the street "The Olive Branch" that she owns with sister Kari Keene-Ehrler.

Avenue Hair Studio offers hair styling for the whole family and has 12 stylists on board to help you with your hair care needs.  The salon carries the Paul Mitchell, Joico, and Matrix line of hair care products.

Call Avenue for complete hair care needs or for those special needs such as the upcoming Proms, Weddings, and Special Occasion Make-up applications.  Don't forget your nails!

Welcome to Downtown - Cherry Pit Studios




We have our own music recording studio right downtown - Cherry Pit Studios.

Eric LaBrosse, a Men. Falls High School graduate and also the singer of the Summerfest-playing band "The Heroes Lie" just spent 100 days and a chunk of change revamping his new location so he can record and produce music.  Cherry Pit Studios has over 100 bands as clients throughout the midwest.

He chose downtown due to the closeness of the "active" areas.  He said with A J O'Brady,  AJ Live and Krueger's so close, bands will come in and record songs because it is so convenient.  His licensed music is provided all over tv including The Food Network and WW Wrestling.

Eric had been watching this particular location to lease for some time and is very happy that everything went together so well.

Men's Bowling Tournament Continues


It all started January 11th and contines weekly through May 4th - over 12,000 bowlers are coming to our beautiful community for the 2014 Wisconsin State USBC Bowling Tournament.

                                                         Please give them a warm welcome!


 





Easter Basket Hop 'N Shop


We invite you to stop in the downtown businesses for our first ever Easter Basket Hop 'N Shop.  Anyone age 5 years and older may enter.  Participating business are still signing up so check out April's Newsletter for a complete list. 

Time to Enter - Friday, April 11 through Saturday April 19th mid-day.  Winners will be notified on April 19 around mid-day.




Easter Egg Hunt


The annual Downtown Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Friday, April 18, 2014 in Village Park on Garfield Dr.

This is open to kids through Grade 5. Activities start at 6:00 pm with the HUNT starting at 7:00 pm.

Bring your cameras and a basket to collect the eggs! Moo Moo & Tickles the Clown will be there as well as the Master of Ceremonies - The Easter Bunny! There may be other surprises as well.

Nancy Handley was our winner for correctly identifying the February Downtown picture.  This was taken of the the dredging that was done in the river near Lepper Dam in Mill Pond Park.
