Hello,
Hello August and the Dog Days of Summer!
Speaking of dogs, please see below for the info on the 10th Annual Menomonee Falls Pet Fair. The Concerts in the Park Series has three more performances to enjoy on Thursday evenings - and starting August 6th, our Sunday Farmers Market begins. Same hours as the Wednesday Market 9 - 2.
The beautiful weather certainly has helped our constructin crew on Main St. Remember that all Main St. businesses are open during this construction/enhancement project. Please visit them during this transformation.
So, enjoy the rest of summer and remember - always "Think Local" when you need services, gifts, a quick lunch or a fabulous dinner, or just want to pamper yourself. See you around town!

Main Street Reconstruction Starts July 17
Phase I will involve Main Street from
Water Street to Grand Avenue.
Details are available on the Village's
website.
This reconstruction will improve the aesthetic of the Downtown by :
- Resurfacing of Main Street for the first time since the early 1990s
- Creation of six concrete bump outs which will add to existing sidewalk space and enlarge outdoor seating areas
- Creation of 12 parallel parking stalls on the Main Street Bridge
- Striping of three new crosswalks with shorter crossing distances
- Installation of raised tree planters and potted annual planters will add greenery and soften the appearance of the street
- Addition of new street furnishings including benches, bicycle racks, and trash cans
How will traffic be impacted?
- Starting Monday, July 17 –
Main Street will be closed between Water Street and Grand Avenue to west-bound traffic which will be re-routed north along Water Street, west along Roosevelt Road, and then south along Grand Avenue back to Main Street.
-
Starting Monday, July 10 – Main Street will be closed between Appleton Avenue and Pilgrim Road to heavy truck traffic. Trucks will be rerouted in both directions along a route which includes Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Avenue, and Appleton Avenue.
How will parking be impacted?
- Starting Monday, July 17, on-street parking spaces along Main Street between Grand Avenue and Water Street will be unavailable for the duration of the project.
- Other street parking will not be affected.
- All public parking lots will be available for use.
- Download the
Public Parking Map.
How will construction affect pedestrian traffic?
- Sidewalks will remain open throughout construction. However, cross walks may not be accessible at all times and pedestrians may have to cross where there are opportunities to cross.
What Construction signage will be provided?
- Construction signs and truck re-routing will be going up the week of July 10.
- “Businesses Open” signs will be purchased and placed on Main Street on both ends of the construction site.
- Parking signs will be posted on temporary poles to direct traffic to public lots.
- A banner will fly over Main Street with information regarding the reconstruction.

Located at N88 W16606 Main Street
What does your business provide or offer?
We are a residential remodeling firm that specializes in Bathrooms, Kitchens, lower levels and additions and are active in the Milwaukee NARI Remodeling organization. We offer award winning design and build services and the possibilities are endless in what we can and are willing to do to help people live better in their homes.
What would someone not know (or be surprised) about your business?
Hmmmm- good question – well I guess maybe because it’s my coaching background that helps us be so successful. And that we personally pride ourselves in exceptional responsiveness and providing outstanding remodeling services from start to finish. Did I tell you we are a 2017 NARI National Award winning remodeler and the only one in the area.
How long have you been in business?
Personally I am starting my 34 year and Connor Remodeling & Design, Inc. is now going into it’s 11th year- and 8th here in the beautiful and historic Men Falls Main street area
Why did you choose Menomonee Falls Downtown for your business location?
We love the area and the opportunity for success is right here where we want to be. When we found our current location we couldn’t have been happier. An old historic building on Main Street – who could ask for more- stop in and see how we saved an old tired out place and brought it back to life.
