FEATURED BUSINESS OF THE MONTH
Pete's Main Street Headliners
Pete Sorenson is a huge fan of history whether it be our village's history or that of his Two Rivers/Manitowoc area family. Here he stands with a barber chair from 1929, called the
Paidar, made in Chicago. Pete tells the story of a certain customer of his: Her grandfather was going into a nursing home and he wanted to give his barber chair to an established barber and the chair has been in Pete's ownership since 1979. Pete even had to show the elder gentleman his barber license to receive the chair!
Pete has been cutting hair for 44 years, working as an employee at Rube's Barber Shop for 10 yrs, and then operating his own shop. Two of his original employees, Debbie and Barb, still work for him! He employs 12 and has one chair rental.
Nails at Dawn is located within Pete's Main Street Headliners
and offers manicures and pedicures.
Pete owns his building which includes two upper apartments and one commercial 700 sq. foot space available January 1, 2019 . See listing at
Properties Available.
Not only is Pete a BID Board Member, but he has been a strong advocate for the new life and growth happening in Downtown, and is proud that we have been able to keep that small, village feel. If you have a local historic story to tell, visit Pete. You will also see him dressed in period costume for our Horse and Wagon ride during
Christmas Market on Saturday, November 24.
