Who is Your +ONE?

Dania Welch, Membership / Insurance Manager

This week we launched our "+ONE" membership campaign, where we ask all PTA members to find just one additional person to become a member of PTA, thereby supporting every child in our state. Who’s your +ONE? Please like it on the NYS PTA Facebook page and Twitter account, share it on your personal and/or unit Facebook page and Twitter account, and promote the +ONE campaign to your school and community. I know together we can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Insurance Update

Presidents, be on the lookout in the next week or two for your PTA Insurance invoice, which will be mailed to your home address, from AIM, our new insurance agent. Read all the details of the new program including AIM contact information HERE.

Wellness Update

Anne Ehrlich, Health Specialist

President Trump has named NJ Governor Chris Christie to an advisory panel on the opioid use crisis.

It is not clear on whether new funding will be available, whether Medicaid expansion under the ACA will continue, or whether funds allocated under the 21st Century Cures act will be shifted to a drug control plan.

As drug deaths continue, it is important for concerned citizens to continue calls and letters of support for federal and state programs. We will keep you posted!
