|
Greetings colleagues:
On December 27, 2020, the President signed into law a comprehensive omnibus bill comprised of Fiscal Year 2021 (FY2021) federal budget appropriations, supplemental coronavirus appropriations, and the FAFSA Simplification Act, among other included bills. Please find attached a one-page summary of highlights from the omnibus that NCHE hopes will be of assistance to you as you work with children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness. Please also find attached the full text of the bill with buttons on the first page you may use to navigate to particular pieces of the education stabilization fund, and with allowable uses of funds highlighted for each piece of the fund.
Additional information will be shared in the future as more is learned about this comprehensive piece of legislation and its implementation. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to contact NCHE's helpline at 800-308-2145 or homeless@serve.org.
Best,
Christina Dukes
