The National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE) operates the U.S. Department of Education's technical assistance and information center for the federal Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program. NCHE is based at The SERVE Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). NCHE hosts this Homeless Education Mailing List to share information and resources with educators, service providers, and other interested stakeholders about meeting the educational needs of children and youth experiencing homelessness. Registration for NCHE webinars during the months of March and April is now open and available at

*NEW FOR APRIL*, NCHE will be offering a webinar entitled Supporting the Education of Unaccompanied Homeless Students under ESSA. In this webinar, NCHE staff presenters will cover:
- ESSA basics, including key implementation dates
- The definitions of "unaccompanied" and "homeless", including ESSA amendments to these terms
- K-12 educational rights and supports for unaccompanied homeless students
- Supports for unaccompanied homeless youth transitioning to higher education
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with presenters and fellow attendees through polls and discussion periods.
