NCHE is based at The SERVE Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). NCHE hosts this Homeless Education Mailing List to share information and resources with educators, service providers, and other interested stakeholders about meeting the educational needs of children and youth experiencing homelessness. The National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE), which operates the U.S. Department of Education's federal technical assistance center for the Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) program, invites you to join us for a new webinar.
 
Title: American Rescue Plan Act-Homeless Children and Youth (ARP-HCY) Funds: Early Implementation
Date/Time: Tues, Dec 14, 2021, 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET  (please adjust for your time zone)
Description: The American Rescue Plan Act (ARP), signed into law as the third COVID-19 federal stimulus bill in March 2021, appropriated $800,000,000 in new education funds specifically for supporting children and youth experiencing homelessness. Join NCHE to:
  • Review basic information about ARP-HCY funds, including key areas of funding focus and how funding is being distributed to states and school districts;
  • Explore allowable usages of ARP-HCY funds; and
  • Learn more about early state- and local-level ARP-HCY planning and implementation.
Time will be provided for facilitated Q&A and discussion.
