Ensuring Continuity of Feeding and Food Distribution During the COVID-19 Pandemic:
You are invited to join the U.S. Department of Education (ED), Office of Safe and Supportive Schools (OSSS) and its REMS TA Center on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET for a live Webinar in collaboration with state partners on the topic of ensuring continuity of feeding and food distribution during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. During the 90-minute Webinar, the OSSS and REMS TA Center team will share information on feeding and food distribution as a key element of continuity of operations planning and highlight common challenges education agencies are facing as they try to ensure continuity of operations amidst COVID-19. State partners will participate in a panel discussion during which they will showcase models used on the state level to ensure that this essential community service continues. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) will provide information on Federal authorizations, waivers, and resources available to support education agencies and their community partners. This event will also feature a dedicated question-and-answer session during which presenters will field questions from participants.
