The National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE) operates the U.S. Department of Education's technical assistance and information center for the federal Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program. NCHE is based at The SERVE Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). NCHE hosts this Homeless Education Mailing List to share information and resources with educators, service providers, and other interested stakeholders about meeting the educational needs of children and youth experiencing homelessness. NCHE invites you to join us for a NEW webinar: Serving Migrant Students Experiencing Homelessness 

 

In this webinar, presenters from the National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE), the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Migrant Education (OME), and state and local education agencies (SEAs and LEAs) will expand the awareness of two federal education programs, the Migrant Education Program (MEP) and Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program. Join us as we explore how MEP and EHCY practitioners can work together to better identify and provide services to migrant students experiencing homelessness and utilize federal data and resources to help support the work across programs.

 

Presenters: NCHE, U.S. Dept. of ED - Office of Migrant Education (OME), UT State Coordinator, FL Local Liaison
