The National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE) operates the U.S. Department of Education's technical assistance and information center for the federal Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program. NCHE is based at The SERVE Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). NCHE hosts this Homeless Education Mailing List to share information and resources with educators, service providers, and other interested stakeholders about meeting the educational needs of children and youth experiencing homelessness. Early Warning Systems Community of Practice Fall Virtual Convening

October 24-25, 2017

Hosted by the U.S. Department of Education and the Office of Safe and Healthy Students and its National Student Attendance, Engagement, and Success Center (NSAESC)

Building on the success and momentum of last spring's Virtual Convening, the Fall Virtual Convening will offer plenary and breakout sessions over 2 days focused on the following:
  • Deepening your knowledge, expertise and network connections around Early Warning Systems design and implementation
  • Exploring the successes and challenges of implementing the Early Warning Systems
  • Leveraging the tools, resources, and knowledge of other U.S. Dept. of Education Technical Assistance Centers related to student success
