2017 Distinguished Service Award

On Saturday, October 14th, 2017, Representatives from Nesco Bus attended the New York School Bus Contractors Association's 63rd Annual Convention in Lake George, New York. Our very own, Nestor Zaragoza, was presented with a 2017 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of 50 years of distinguished service in the school bus industry.

 
National Association for Pupil Transportation Summit 

The National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) 43rd Annual Summit took place in Columbus, Ohio from November 4th thru 7th. The annual NAPT Conference & Trade Show is consistently recognized as the premier school transportation conference in the nation. Along with providing cutting edge curriculum, the event also serves as the showcase for the newest products and the latest technology the industry has to offer. The NAPT Trade Show is the biggest and best gathering of school bus manufacturers and school transportation product suppliers; the variety of products and services on display each year under one roof is amazing.The annual NAPT Conference & Trade Show is called "The Summit" because it is a wonderful opportunity to meet school transportation professionals from across the nation. The networking opportunities at the conference are virtually limitless.

Nesco Holds Air Brake Seminar for Customers

On November 15th, 2017, Nesco held a New York State Department of Transportation Bus Inspection Program: 3 Hour Air Brake Seminar. This seminar was to enable every inspector to do their best when conducting an inspection of an air brake system. This training was not intended to teach the Inspector everything about air brake systems, but to provide an instructional guidance to compliment training previously received and is a living document that will be modified as rules, regulations and policies change.  

NYS School Bus Contractors Association Convention

The New York School Bus Contractors Association 63rd Annual Convention took place in Lake George, NY in mid October. School bus contractors from the entire state gathered for two days of seminars highlighting safety, new technology, and changing regulations.
